Appropriately in Rugby League World Cup year, our 2021 principle playing colours pay homage to the traditional Swinton Lions shirt which recently won the Rugby League’s prestigious World Cup of kits tournament on Twitter. Designed by our team wear partners SUPRO, our blue jersey with the instantly recognisable white “V” is of course iconic in the eyes of Lions supporters.
The Royal blue top with white “V” first saw the light of day at the Lancashire Cup Final of 29th October 1960 and soon saw back-to-back Championship successes in 1963 and 1964, but 60 years later it is still the kit which most resonates with the Swinton name across the world of rugby league football.
